HAPPIEST CITY IN THE MIDLANDS: Locals LOVE Lichfield – and here’s why!
Just over 33,000 people live in the historic city of Lichfield.
With a history first recorded in 669 AD, the city has been lucky to keep much of that old England charm making it a popular tourist destination - it's also one of the happiest places to live in the UK.
According to a survey by the Halifax Bank, Lichfield places in the top 10 in the country, with locals rating it an impressive 8.1 out of 10.
The survey was based on factors such as employment, earnings, housing, affordability, health, education and crime rates.
So why do the people of this historic location love it so much?
'The green space, the parks, the cathedral, the buildings, the people.'
