LOCAL UPDATE: Councillors clash in Dudley over council tax rise & Coventry kids aim to help local foodbank
Councillors have clashed in Dudley over a rise in council tax.
A rise by 4.99% was narrowly approved as the authority cited protection of services as a reason. However, some Labour councillors have accused it of being a covid cost passed to residents.
Next, Birmingham is getting a boost for the creative industry with twelve films being produced in the city. BritAsia TV, who are based in the Midlands, have announced the collaboration with Moving Pictures Media and Checklist Films and say it will be a welcome boost to employment and investment opportunities in our region.
Finally, two children from Coventry are aiming to cycle 100 kilometres in the month of March to raise money for a foodbank. 6 year -old Elias and 4 year-pold Irah want to be able to donate a hundred Easter Eggs.
