LOCAL UPDATE: Two arrests after murder in Perry Barr & bleed-control kits placed around region to help stabbing victims
West Midlands police have arrested two men on suspicion of murder in connection to an attack in Perry Barr.
A man was found stabbed to death on Perry Villa Drive on Tuesday morning. Detective Inspector Jim Colclough said efforts to determine what happened yesterday morning continue at pace.
Meanwhile, 227 medical supply packs designed to control bleeding after someone is stabbed or cut have been placed at strategic locations across the region including in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall. A campaign from Lynne Baird, who tragically lost her son in 2017, and Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson are behind the idea which will see them placed in bars, pubs, shopping centres and schools across the West Midlands.
Finally, tributes will be paid to a huge Aston Villa fan who died suddenly of a stroke in a match programme. Tyler Morrow was just 21 years-old when he died on the 26th February and has been described as a huge fan of the football club by his family.
