LOCAL UPDATE: Redditch overtakes Sandwell as the worst place in region for coronavirus infections & Heartlands Hospital working to reimburse patient after jewellery goes missing
Redditch has overtaken Sandwell as the worst place in the West Midlands for coronavirus infection rates.
According to figures released on Thursday, Redditch now has 161 cases per a hundred thousand people.
Next, three Dudley men have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in relation to the shooting of Mohammed Haroon Zeb in Queens Cross, Dudley on the 31st January. 20 year-old Umar Ali and 23 year-old Gurdeep Sandhu of Blowers Green Road were charged on Thursday along with 19 year-old Mohammed Rafiq of Gammage Street.
Finally, Heartlands Hospital has said its working to re-imburse a grandmother of jewellery worth over £2000. Margaret Kennedy's earrings and gold chain went missing from her whilst she was in a hospital bed battling covid. When she returned home after five days, she discovered they were missing.
