ETTINGSHALL EATING: New shop on the menu
A new luxury dessert shop that specialises in handcrafted sweet treats has opened up in a rapidly developing Wolverhampton neighbourhood.
The Little Dessert Shop, which also has premises in Wolverhampton city centre and Wednesfield, has now set up home in Ward Street, Ettingshall.
With shops up and down the country, the franchise’s new outlet forms part of a series of ongoing developments taking place in Ettingshall, including a new £800,000 public park and play area and a 460-home housing estate.
Councillor Beverley Momenabadi (Lab. Ettingshall) said: “I’m really pleased to see another business setting up shop in our neighbourhood. I’ve already been in the Little Dessert Shop and was really impressed by the customer service.
“It’s great to see more local people getting local jobs too. I’m an Ettingshall resident as well as a councillor so I’ll most definitely be indulging in some chocolate treats!”
In November 2015 the Little Dessert Shop won ‘Dessert Outlet of the Year’ at the National Food Awards, followed by ‘Young Business of the Year’ at the Express & Star’s Business Awards in May 2016.
The business was also nominated for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the English Asian Business Awards in September 2016.
Among the treats available, the shop specialises in handcrafted artisanal waffles, crepes, coffee, cheesecakes, cookie dough and Italian gelato.
