CORONAVIRUS: Midlands Hospital admissions fall
Admissions to Midlands Hospital as a result of coronavirus have fallen significantly.
According to the latest NHS England data, 559 people being treated in hospital due to coronavirus on the 2nd March. This is compared to 719 a week earlier.
Meanwhile, the latest update of coronavirus infection rates released on Tuesday show that Sandwell, which previously was one of the worst places in the UK, now only has 97 infections per a hundred thousand people.
Redditch is now the third worst place in the UK for coronavirus, with 145.4 cases per a hundred thousand people. Birmingham and Walsall only have 88 infections per a hundred thousand people.
