LOCAL UPDATE: Birmingham City Council approve more Covid marshals
Birmingham City Council are to extend the number of Covid marshals.
In order to help keep the city safe, twelve people would join the already existing cohort of twenty four who patrol delegated areas five days a week. Four more would join a team providing advice and guidance to visitors in Birmingham's parks.
Next, City of Wolverhampton Council is set to extend its support to the city's foodbanks for another year. A meeting of the council's cabinet resources panel will next week be asked to agree to provide £450,000 to extend this support for a further 12 months.
Finally, a Youth Hub in Sandwell has been opened which is offering practical advice and support to young people aged sixteen to twenty nine who are unemployed or at risk of losing their job. It is one of six that the West Midlands Combined Authority has developed with Jobcentre plus.
