A Tividale councillor has died after contracting Covid-19. Sandra Hevican had been on a ventilator and in a coma at Walsall Mayor Hospital.
The 55-year-old from Wednesbury passed away on Monday five weeks after testing positive, her family have said. Maria Crompton, Sandwell Councils interim leader paid tribute calling her a 'lovely lady'.
A serial burglar has been locked up for more than five years after being linked to a string of break-ins in Birmingham by his fingerprint. Stephen Honnor, aged 38, broke into five homes in the Moseley and Kings Heath areas between 14 October and 16 November last year, often getting in through unsecured windows
Cadbury's owners Modelez have acquired Solihull based protein bar maker Grenade. The company had been valued at £200 million but details of the deal have not been made public. Modelez say their business will target health snacks in light of customer demand.
