AMAZON HOTLINE: Unite launches hotline and campaign to get a ‘new deal’ for Amazon workers in the West Midlands

Unite has launched a whistle-blowing hotline and campaign to get a ‘new deal’ for Amazon workers in the West Midlands.
Unite the Union has opened a confidential whistle-blowing hotline for Amazon workers across the West Midlands. The global giant has three major fulfilment centres in our region in Rugeley, Coventry and Rugby.
In a press release, Unite say Amazon workers have been essential during the pandemic 'against a backdrop of reports of poor working conditions'. The hotline coincides with the launch of the campaign alliance ‘Action on Amazon’ that is demanding a ‘new deal’ for Amazon workers, including a union and a greater share of the firm's enormous profits. Banners were unfurled by campaigners at Birmingham Council House and Coventry Cathedral by campaigners.
