WELCOME BACK: The Canal House on Gas Street Basin is ready for the return of customers on April 12
It’s been a tough year for bars and restaurants. Multiple lockdowns have seen hospitality close its doors for months at a time. But Monday 12 April will see the reopening of venues for outdoor drinking and dining.
Bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve customers outdoors from 12 April - but customers will be required to order, eat and drink while seated at a table.
The good news is that restrictions have changed since pubs were last open, there will be no 10pm curfew and people won't need to order a substantial meal with alcoholic drinks.
Customers must however also follow either the rule of six , or be in a group of any size as long as there are no more than two households present.
When people are not seated - customers must where a face mask for example when going to the toilet. Here face masks must be worn. One way systems must be followed and social distancing must be observed.
