£57.1 million stolen by fraudsters from people in West Midlands & Man stabbed in head in Wolverhampton on Sunday.
Figures from Action Fraud show that people in the West Midlands have had fifty seven point one million pounds stolen by fraudsters since February 2020. Online shopping scams were the most common type of fraud with around 3000 victims being over the age of 60.
Next, an air ambulance had to attend a car crash in Smethwick over the weekend. The incident involving two cars left three people injured with one man carried by helicopter to hospital with serious injuries.
Finally, a man was stabbed in the head in Wolverhampton over the weekend. Police attended a scene on Butts Road in the early hours of Sunday and a spokesperson said, "A man in his 50s suffered a stab wound to his head and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening." An investigation is now ongoing.
