OUTDOOR HOSPITALITY: A big welcome back to customers at Craft
Monday the 12th of April saw outdoor hospitality welcome back customers. For Craft, located opposite Brindley Place, it's a day that couldn’t have come soon enough.
Craft offers classic British dishes and the finest beverages to their customers in a contemporary setting. After investing in outdoor pods they are fully booked for the foreseeable future and owner Sam Morgan is positive for the future.
That optimism is shared by many in the sector. English hospitality could be in for a much needed boost with a £314 million spend by customers in the first week of opening for outdoor service, according to the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR).
The successful vaccination programme is also expected to aid recovery. More than half of the population is at least partially vaccinated, that together with pent up demand and people having saved through the pandemic could results in a strong rebound for the sector.
Only outdoor service will be allowed at hospitality venues until at least May 17.
