SAFE STYLING: Regis welcomes back customers
Regis hair salon welcomes back customers to their store on Corporation Street in Birmingham.
19th of July saw the so called ‘Freedom Day’ with laws requiring the wearing of masks and social distancing rescinded. However personal care requires close contact with clients. This means that whilst Covid variants remain prevalent, measures to reduce the spread of the virus stay in place at the salon.
Catherine Jenkins is Salon Manager at the Corporation Street Regis store, she says that safety has been their ‘main concern’ throughout the pandemic. The company has implemented measures such as hand sanitisers, safety screens, face masks and thorough cleaning after each client visit.
PROUD OF HER STAFF
Michelle Worthington is the Regional Business Manager for Regis. She has led the implementation of safety measures and is confident that her stores have done a great job of welcoming customers back safely. She added that she is ‘so proud’ of the work done by her staff to re-open the salons in her region.
The Regis group is the largest salon operator in the UK. The majority of the stores they operated are in town and city centres where footfall has been slow to return. To improve the client experience and to drive bookings the company has invested in new technology.
A new online booking system has been introduced allowing clients to locate their nearest salon and select the service they require.
AN ESSENTIAL PART OF LIFE
For many a visit to a salon is a vital part of life and of course looking well groomed does wonders for self esteem. For store manager Catherine its those positive benefits delivered by her team that makes her love the job, so much. She is delighted to see her clients return to a safe and welcoming salon.
