SHAKE IT OFF: Dance teacher fundraising to share dance classes for kids with special needs
Charlotte Elizabeth has been a dance teacher for 5 years, she teaches SEN kids how to dance and express themselves.
She set up her first SEN dance class in May 2019, where she taught 15 children. After this the inquiries flooded in.
She talks about how dance helps everyone but it particularly helps SEN kids and helps them find a way to communicate.
'They come running in and give me a hug, they don't want to go home, they have the biggest beaming smile on their faces and their parents are looking at me going 'they don't really do that at home or anywhere else.' "
We also hear from a mother, Paige Bird, whose daughter attends Charlotte's dance classes, saying that they are really good fun and everyone has a boogie!
Author of '100 ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play,' Georgina Durrant talks about why dance seems to connect so well.
