THE BEST PUB IN BIRMINGHAM: Jewellers Arms wins top award AGAIN!
An historic Birmingham pub has been named the best in the second city.
The Jeweller’s Arms on Hockley Street has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award for Pub of the Year 2021 by the Campaign for Real Ales (CAMRA). It's the second time the venue has scooped gold.
Black Country Ales took over the pub in 2017 and immediately undertook a massive refurbishment. It is now one of the most beautiful traditional pubs in the country. The pub offers three regular draft beers – Black Country Bradley’s Finest Golden and Black Country Pig on The Wall and can be found in the Good Beer Guide.
Lesley Roney has run the pub since the refurbishment alongside her husband and son. She describes the win as a team effort.
The awards for the top three real beer pubs in Brum are voted on by Birmingham CAMRA members. The top 25 pubs are whittled down to a final 10, each of which must be visited for members to vote.
