TOP STORIES: Redevelopment of Wolverhampton’s former Beatties to start next year
Wolverhampton Council have revealed that work to transform the city's landmark Beatties store will commence early next year.
Council leaders have approved plans to convert the site into 300 apartments following the stores closure after 150 years. The first phase of the redevelopment will see around 150 new homes created around annex and car park. The front of the building will be retained with ground floor retail use.
Weapons and thousands of cannabis laden sweets have been discovered by police in a raid on a Castle Bromwich property. Officers discovered multiple bags of the drug laced confectionary together with two hammers and a machete. West Midlands Police say that a man was arrested and remanded into custody.
