Supermarkets have warned the Prime Minister that shoppers face empty shelves if the pingdemic isn’t fixed.
Huge numbers of staff have been having to self-isolate after being pinged by the app, hitting both suppliers and the shop floor. Some stores have been forced to close, while some petrol stations have also shut.
M&S predicts 20% of its staff could be self-isolating by next month if the pingdemic isn’t fixed.
