ALL LEVEL: India win second test against England
England were thrashed by India in the second test in Chennai as the hosts won by 317 runs.
The hosts tallied 329 all out in their first innings with Rohit Sharma going for 161.
England could only manage 134 in their first time at bat, narrowly avoiding the follow on.
Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets for 43 runs and then went 3-53 in the second - a match figure of 8-96 overall.
He wasn't bad with the bat either, as he hit for 106 in India's second innings.
They set England a target of 482 runs to win - a hopeless task with plenty of time remaining.
A draw wasn't on the cards due to that time and England's batting was woeful. A loss was inevitable.
Debutant Axar Patel claimed 5-60 in the second innings as England crumbled to 164 all out.
In the first test, the pitch was much more favourable but in this one, the Indian's had the advantage.
This Chennai wicket offered huge, unpredictable spin and it was clearly too much for England's batsmen to contend with.
It brings the series all level at 1-1 with two more test matches remaining.
The next of which will be a day-nighter in Ahmedabad on 24th February.
