FIXTURES ANNOUNCED: Birmingham City’s 2021/22 fixtures

FIXTURES ANNOUNCED: Birmingham City’s 2021/22 fixtures

Birmingham City’s 2021/22 fixtures have been announced as they look ahead to another season in the Championship.

Having finished 18th in 2020/21, the Blues will be looking to push on up the table under Lee Bowyer who helped the club pull away from the relegation zone after coming in.

They will begin with a tough looking trip to Yorkshire where they will play Sheffield United, who were relegated from the Premier League, on the 7th August before their first home game against Stoke City on the 14th August in what will be a bit of a Midlands derby.

Games come thick and fast in the Championship with 46 in total compared to just 38 in the Premier League. A home game against AFC Bournemouth (18th August) and then consecutive trips to Luton Town (21st August) and Barnsley (28th August) complete the first month.

Their Boxing Day game will see them make the popular trip to West London where they will play Fulham whilst the Blues will finish the season on the 7th May at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Fans will be eagerly anticipating the derby clashes with West Bromwich Albion and the Baggies will first take on the Blues on Saturday 16th October at The Hawthorns with the reverse fixture on Saturday 2nd April.

All games are subject to being re-scheduled by broadcaster Sky Sports if they select them for TV.
