REFEREES: Have the EURO 2020 officials been good?
Referees at EURO 2020 have been under the spotlight for mostly the right reasons as fans enjoy the efficient nature of the officiating at the tournament.
In the Premier League, frustrations have been clear this season as officials make several wrong decisions every weekend.
That's not the mention the fiasco that comes with the video assistant referee (VAR).
However, at EURO 2020, the referees have mostly been brilliant in allowing games to flow and getting decisions correct.
Very little attention has been drawn towards the men in the middle which is always a good thing for officials.
The usage of VAR has been clear, decisive and quick, too. Take Karim Benzema's ruled out goal for example.
France score what they believe is their second and by the time celebrations end, a decision is made.
Had that been a Premier League game, it would have been an agonising wait to see if the goal stood.
On the latest EURO Exposition podcast, the crew discussed the referees at EURO 2020 and how they rate their performance.
