The Line of Duty cast have snapped up multiple TV Choice Awards
The cast of Line of Duty have done exceptionally well at this year’s TV Choice Awards, taking home trophies in various categories across the board.
Vicky McClure took home the award for Best Actress and Martin Compton took home Best Actor. The pair have been a part of the series for the whole 6 seasons. The first season of Line of Duty was released way back in 2012 to huge success, and the show has gone on to be one of the best British dramas released this century.
The BBC series, which has a running time of near a decade, follows the AC-12 unit which is tasked with uncovering police corruption. A crime, action and mystery drama all in one, this show is perfect to sink your teeth into.
Before subsequently changing it’s channel from BBC Two, Line of Duty was the most popular broadcasted programme on the channel. The series has gone on to amount countless other awards in various categories. Over the years it has received awards from the Royal Television Society and Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Drama Series.
The show was also named within the Top 50 BBC shows of all time. Season 6 of the blockbuster series started in 2020 and was put on hold in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming continued in October 2020 and sixth season was finally released in March 2021.
